POWERING CUSTOMERS TO SUCCEED LAWKIM has been the largest name in the supply of specialized custom-built compressor motors since early sixties. Set up in collaboration with Emerson Electric, the giant US electric conglomerate, Lawkim quickly became a quality name in this field.After it was acquired by , whose name is synonymous in India with trust and reliability, it became the largest mass-volume and most cost-effective specialized motor manufacturer in the country, having turned out nearly 13 million motors from its quality-driven lines.

Lawkim has developed its own designing capability, both for motors as well as flexible manufacturing set-ups, has invested in the latest automatic and semi-automatic machines. It also designs and manufactures its own special tooling for its mass production lines and was one of the first ISO 9000:2000(E) and ISO 14000 certified companies in India. In addition, we have certain product lines that have UL (Underwriter's Laboratories, USA) certification.

Lawkim FHP Motors have been part to the fabric of the Indian household for nearly 42 years – silently!! Pioneering the production of Hermetic Motors in India for the first time with Emerson Electric USA way back in the 60s, there are over 13 million Lawkim motors working all over the country.

They are now an integral part of the air-conditioning industry. Major manufactures like LG, Hitachi, Whirlpool, Videocon, Electrolux, UCPL(a Voltas-Fedders, USA joint venture), Frizair & others prefer the high quality & reliability of Lawkim motors. Our motors were tested in the labs of Hitachi Japan, UCPL (Fedders) Singapore & Whirlpool’s own lab in the US. And only after severe endurance testing did Lawkim get the go ahead for mass manufacture & supply these motors.

Washing Machine manufacturers like Matsushita, Godrej, BPL and Voltas Electrolux have used specially engineered Lawkim motors in large quantities. Our all India trade network swears by quality of Sheet steel construction of Lawkim General Purpose Motors in frames 100S & B56(NEMA). The range extends from ¼ HP upto 3 HP in Single Phase and upto 2 HP in 3 Phase designs.

Lawkim has also introduced a vast range of IEC Frame motors starting from frame 63 to frame 315. IEC frame 56 can be offered upon request. Lawkim IEC frame motors have been developed for a vast application specific range like brake motors, textile motors, multi-speed motors, etc.

Lawkim has introduced a wide range of domestic and agricultural Pumpsets all over India. The variety includes self-priming domestic Pumpsets (from 1/8 HP upto 1 HP), Openwell Submersible Pumpsets (from 0.5 HP upto 10 HP), Borewell Submersible Pumpsets (in 3”, 4” & 6” variety) and Centrifugal Monoblock (from 0.5 HP upto 2 HP). Though Lawkim is the youngest entrant in the Domestic Water Pumps market, it has already earned a reputation for delivering high performance, high quality pumps. Preference is showed by customer over competing pumps installed in the same location. With the already established base of 13 Million Hermetic motors, this is hardly surprising!
